With hundreds of pizza parlors scattered across the Phoenix area, why would we choose such a common and inexpensive genre of food? Simple, it offered much more than ordinary pizza. Feel free to choose from many types of pizza (hand stretched, thin crust, and medium crust to name a few), salads, calzones, sandwiches, and appetizers, Crust has something for everyone, at a price that is friendly to your wallet.
An open kitchen invites you to watch your pizza cook in a beautiful stone oven, you are invited to browse the gelato selections or sit at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere while you wait for your food.
We ate our way through Crust's extensive menu, and ultimately decided on our favorites. We enjoyed meatball sliders (3 for $9), served with a spicy dipping sauce.
Our sampling of pizzas led us to love the medium crust margherita ($2.50), and the thin crust NY Round ($2.25). We admired the crusted Mac & cheese ($8.50) but decided that our overall favorite had to be the spinach & broccoli rollatini, Crust's own version of a calzone ($7). The spinach & broccoli reminded
me of a cannelloni recipe my mom used to make, and we couldn't get enough.
The portion sizes are abundant, and one may be tempted to order much more based upon the prices listed. Just remember, we warned you. A great meal for an even better deal is what you will find at Crust.
As if it couldn't get any better, they offer happy hour Monday-Friday 4:30-6:30 p.m.
With three locations, there's no excuse not to rush your way into your neighborhood Crust.
