With two races left in the chase for the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship, Phoenix International Raceway was the place to be on November 14.
The weather and track conditions were perfect.
With fans anticipating an exciting afternoon, once again, NASCAR didn't disappoint, this was a race no one left early.
The points standing were so close it was possible for three drivers to clinch the championship with this race, Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson.
True to racing, it came down to the last few laps.
While Denny Hamlin held the lead and seemed unbeatable, the race came down to a fuel issue.
As Hamlin pitted for a splash of fuel, Carl Edwards took the lead and crossed the finish line four seconds ahead of Ryan Newman.
